NORDSEC
2002
7th
Nordic Workshop on Secure IT Systems
"Towards
Secure and Privacy-Enhanced Systems"
7-8 November 2002, Karlstad University, Sweden
The NordSec workshops were started in 1996 with the aim of bringing together researchers
and practitioners within computer security in the Nordic countries. The
theme of the workshops has been applied security, i.e., all kinds of
security issues that could encourage interchange and cooperation between the
research community and the industrial/consumer community.
NordSec
2002 is organised by the Department of Computer Science at Karlstad University
in Sweden in cooperation with SIG Security, SCINT and Ericsson AB. A main
theme of NordSec 2002, to which a special track within the workshop will be
devoted, is Privacy Enhancing Technologies. NordSec
2002 will also specifically address the areas of Software Engineering and
Quality of Service in relation to IT security.

topics include, but are not limited to the following:

Security Protocol Modeling and Analysis
E-and M-Business Security

Smart Card Applications
Security Management and Audit
Security Evaluations and Measurements
Security in Commercial off-the-shelf Products, COTS
Operating System Security
Security Models
New Ideas and Paradigms for Security
Security Education and Training
Quality of Service or Software Engineering in Relation to Security
The workshop will consist of
paper sessions, panel discussions and invited talks.
For the paper sessions, authors are invited to
submit their papers electronically (in PDF-,
Postscript- or RTF- Format).
Each paper must have an abstract, a list of keywords and should not exceed 6000
words. Papers must be written and presented in English
and should be prepared for anonymous review. They should be sent to:

Selection for presentation at the workshop and publication in the proceedings will be based on originality, contribution to
the field, and relevance to the workshop.
The workshop proceedings will be distributed at the workshop.
